This hotel is a hidden gem in terms of value for money. With its affordable prices and attention to detail, it's hard to believe that it's not a higher star rating. The location is ideal, just off the city center and close to bars, restaurants, and all the action. The staff provide excellent service and the basic amenities are well-maintained. The rooms are comfortable with big beds, ensuring a good night's sleep. And let's not forget the breakfast, which is extensive and delicious.
All was perfect, no complaints.

This hotel is perfectly situated, just off the city center, making it convenient to explore the town. It's surrounded by bars and restaurants, so you'll never run out of dining options. The staff is friendly and provides great service, ensuring that all our needs were met. The rooms are well-equipped with basic amenities and have a comfortable big bed. The breakfast selection is decent, offering a typical Spanish continental spread with bread, ham, cheese, fruit, and yogurt.
The tight parking access.

Cleanliness
Staff does NOT speak English or German. The hotel is not linguistically adapted to foreign guests.

Comfortable, clean room in the old part of the hotel.
The first room we checked into had a smelly bathroom, but the young lady at Reception immediately took us to another room - no questions asked. Very good.

The location was exceptionally nice, close to the centre! Had the guest room which was warm with big bed. Had nice facilities like a safe box, a mini bar, and central heating.

Great value for the price. Central location offered easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The hotel had some interesting facilities including a spa and friendly bar staff.
The staff was not particularly helpful or accommodating during my Easter stay. I encountered several issues throughout my stay, including long waiting times and unhelpful service, which made me feel less important as a guest. Additionally, the breakfast could have been better and more varied in terms of options. there are better options in the area for a stress-free Easter break.

Absolutely everything. We stayed in the yellow Castillo, not the main building. We rode a motorcycle through Spain and France and this was our last stop before we left to fly back to the States. The bath robes, the jacuzzi tub, the romantic patio, the beautiful huge comfortable bed, the decor, the quaint town, everything was fabulous.
There was not a single thing I did not like about Hotel Castillo de Ayud.

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel which boasts an excellent location, being just off the city center, close to bars and restaurants, and with fast access to the main highway. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean, tidy and comfortably equipped. The staff was accommodating, providing a decent breakfast every day, and displaying great customer service. The spa circuit was well maintained, and I had the chance to enjoy the benefits of its facilities.
One of the light bulbs failed on our first night and when we asked for a replacement, the receptionist was unable to help. Thankfully, the cleaners were able to provide us with new bulbs during their room service.

Breakfast was adequate with good selection, large comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning, excellent value for money dinner, generous portions and good local wine, charming historic 1928 annexe.
There was nothing I didn't like.
